Alicia was a competitive Figure Skater until injury at age 16 slowed her down, only to resume competing in her 20’s.  She began her Figure Skating coaching career at an early age as a Program Assistant. Her passion to share the sport with those younger was filled through the years as she taught both independently and Skate Canada programs CanSkate, StarSkate and Collegiate Competitive teams.  For over 15 years she has been sought by local hockey teams as a liason on both an individual and team basis, often contracted by teams to develop and execute a multi lesson plan giving them the competitive edge.

Alicia has spent most of her life as an amateur and competitive athlete and coach.  Her competitive Figure Skating career closed in 2009 with her Synchronized Skating Team taking Gold at the National Championships.

Alicia holds 2 post secondary degrees, both of which are beneficial and applicable to her coaching - Graduate Certificate, Sport Business Management and Bachelor of Arts, Psychology.

Alicia is excited to return to the ice as a coach in Melfort and offer all she can to the skaters of the community.  She is eager to work with the club to foster an environment that will ensure all skaters are encouraged to grow into the best possible version of themselves as they learn and grow through the sport of Figure Skating.
